Botswana Overview

Climate: It is hot and dry for most of the year as the climate is semi-arid with little difference between summer and winter temperatures. Rainfall is mainly in summer with heavy downpours that dry up quickly. The best time to visit Botswana is during the southern hemisphere’s spring and autumn.

Health: There are no compulsory vaccinations required for travel to Botswana but it is recommended that you take precautions against malaria if travelling between November and June in the northern parts of the country. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if you are travelling from an infected country.
